Location
Located in the Baa Atoll, Kunfunadhoo Island is one of the largest islands in the Maldives. The resort can be reached by a scenic 30-minute seaplane flight direct from Male' International Airport or a 12-minute speedboat ride for guests scheduled on domestic flights at the nearby Dharavandhoo Airport. Soneva Fushi has a private airport lounge exclusivily for Soneva guests at the seaplane terminal.

 

Stay
The resort features 71 private water villas & island villas with their own stretch of pristine beach. Designed to offer ultimate privacy and a pure connection with nature, each retreat features open-air bathrooms that extend into a private garden.

A two-storey overwater structure that houses five unique dining outlets. Feast on the creations of top chefs from around the world in intimate settings. From delicious grilled meats and seafood, Teppanyaki, sushi and secret menus conjured by Michelin-starred chefs.

Soneva Fushi's sushi counter sees someone of the world's best sushi masters behind its sake-polished Japanese pine, known as 'hinoki', counter top. The intimate five-seater sushi counter lets you experience the chef's dextrous skills up close.

Flames and smoke set the stage for So Bespoke, Out of the Blue’s open-air Teppanyaki table.

 

Fresh in the Garden
Surrounded by tropical banana trees, this restaurant without walls rises above our herb and vegetable garden, with sublime panoramas stretching as far as the eye can see.

 

Down to Earth
Inspired by the primal bonding ritual of sharing food, it recreates this intimacy with dishes designed for sharing, crafted around nine different cooking methods.

 

Shades of Green
Plant-based Maldivian and Southeast Asian with Nordic cooking techniques. Danish Chef Carsten Kyster celebrates the garden with five-course menus featuring colours.

 

Mihiree Mitha
Translating to ‘here it is’, this is the culinary heart of the island, featuring an endless spread of fresh fruits, live cooking stations, freshly caught and grilled-to-order fish and a collection of Asian dishes and Maldivian specialties. The wood-fired oven freshly baked pizzas. Guests can design their own pizza by choosing from the choice of toppings.

 

By the Bar
A serene oasis of calm, ideal for relaxing, the bar has one of the best selections of cocktails, spirits and liqueurs in the Maldives.

 

Bar(a)bara
A relaxed overwater bar with catamaran nets and daybeds set at the edge of the jetty, it is the perfect venue for spotting dolphins while enjoying refreshing beverages and light bites during the day or indulging in organic pre-dinner cocktails.

Snorkel with Manta Rays
Snorkel the Baa Atoll in search of Manta Rays in Hanifaru Bay, which has one of the world’s largest populations of Manta Rays. Conditions permitting, fortunate guests might get to see hundreds of Mantas as they gorge themselves on plankton. There are several locations where Mantas can be spotted, so the itinerary may vary. If there are no Mantas, our Marine Biologist will take you to another beautiful snorkeling spot.

 

Private Sandbank Overnight Experience
Spend a romantic night camping under the Maldivian skies on your own private sandbank in a luxurious Bedouin-style tent, which even comes with its own water closet. Make your way to a candlelit dinner, set up by personal attendants befo re they depart to allow you to experience the unspoiled island. Breakfast will be delivered at a pre-arranged time of your choice.

 

Eco-Friendly Surfing
Discover less charted and secret surf breaks in the Baa Atoll accompanied with our experienced surf instructor/guides. All surf breaks are accessible within a 5 - 35 minute speedboat ride. Surf season is dependent on Mother Nature’s mood though it does peak from May - September. Waves range from waist to head high. All equipment is eco-friendly and made from recycled waste making us the first fully sustainable surfing program in the world.

A luxurious floating villa that sets sail from Soneva Fushi , Soneva Aqua affords guests the luxury of three charter routes that sail around and beyond the Baa Atoll. Guests can choose between one, two and three-night excursions depending on how much of the awe-inspiring sights of the Indian Ocean they wish to explore.
